For this prime rental property in Kensington, London, the property developer owner wanted high-quality fitted and freestanding furniture throughout.
We created a full package of premium quality bespoke furniture for most of the rooms within the townhouse home. As the property is a luxury rental home, we designed everything to be functional and durable whilst also looking stylish and smart.

The clean and crisp lines of the living room architecture influenced the design of the large contemporary L-shape bespoke sofa created by our team. We threaded electric cables through the construction of the sofa in order to provide integrated reading lights and USB chargers on both arms. Removable wood trays were also added to each arm of the sofa to protect the fabric and double up as side tables. We complemented the dark wood plinth on the sofa with a matching bespoke coffee table in dark stained solid beech with glass shelves. A solid oak console table sits behind the sofa.
Our cabinetry team built and installed an integrated storage bench to run along the wall underneath the modern fireplace and media centre.
We designed and manufactured several pieces of interesting occasional furniture for this Kensington luxury rental property to sit to one side of the main sitting area. Predominantly natural materials were used to create these pieces: a circular coffee table with a stunning veined black marble top and two powder-coated bronze armchairs upholstered in red velvet.
For a wide and bright corner in the hallway running from the main living space in this prime rental property, we designed and crafted a stained oak contemporary writing desk with bright yellow leather inlay and tapered legs. The yellow is repeated in the piping on the desk chair which we upholstered in a pale grey wool.
For the top floor sitting room, we designed and manufactured a bespoke chaise longue upholstered in a sumptuous royal blue velvet and a comfortable armless L-shaped sofa. As this space will be used for socialising and entertaining, we incorporated a removable inset tray on the large-scale upholstered coffee table for drinks to be take easily to and from the home bar.
In all the bedrooms, the owner specifically requested fully fitted wardrobes and hotel-style bespoke furniture such as headboards with integrated lighting.
In the master bedroom, our upholstery team made a ceiling height double-layer bespoke headboard with integrated lights and reading lights. We also made a luxurious bespoke throw, scatter cushions, a circular deep buttoned ottoman and a dressing table stool in a selection of velvets. Two chests of drawers and a matching dressing table with a mixture of high gloss and matte lacquer finishes on the drawer fronts finish off the master suite.
Headboards with integrated reading lights and stained oak side tables were also added to bedroom two and three. We designed the buttoned headboard in bedroom three in several panels to allow the king-size bed to be split into two single beds.
The small fourth bedroom of this Kensington property presented a challenge. The client required lots of storage however the layout was restricted by a chimney breast that could not be removed. To maximise storage space, we created a built-in shelf above the headboard in front of the chimney breast and integrated the hotel-inspired reading lights. We built ceiling-height wardrobes into the alcoves on either side of the bed and added a useful upholstered bench with bolster cushions at the end of the bed.
