The access to this top floor apartment was relatively restricted. All furniture we designed and made had to fit into the lift, either in one piece or in sections and be installed on site.
The client also wanted a good return on their investment in the furniture, fabrics and finishes. Quality and durability was paramount for this rental property to ensure they lasted from one tenancy to another.
The large L-shaped sofa in the open plan living space was designed in sections that would fit into the lift up to the Belgravia penthouse apartment and were fitted on site. For the same space, we handcrafted two velvet ottomans and two deep armchairs upholstered in a rich red velvet to sit around a large marble topped coffee table with a champagne powder-coated metal base made by our metalwork team.

The penthouse benefitted from a roof top conservatory and terrace space adjacent to the main living space with floor to ceiling windows and bi-fold doors with stunning views of the London skyline. As this space would most likely be used for entertaining, we were asked to design and make four bar stools to sit at a cocktail table. Upholstered in a durable yet beautiful fabric with an interesting grain, we added a brushed steel footrest to dark stained oak frame and legs of each to match the existing steel cocktail table.
We also designed a generously sized upholstered ottoman with a dark stained wooden frame and a bespoke matching tray to sit in the middle of the conservatory.
The master bedroom featured a full-height headboard wall made by the Origins Design team with geometric panels upholstered in the same luxurious fabric as the bed base. Light switches and power points were fully integrated. We crafted high-gloss stained oak bedside tables to match the dark wood elsewhere in the room, with mirror plinths and shagreen inlay for a luxurious finish. A boudoir armchair upholstered in a soft grey velvet, and a bespoke throw and scatter cushions.
We created a paneled headboard for bedroom two with an American walnut frame and upholstered the bed base to match. The walnut and upholstered scheme continued on the two bedside tables which featured walnut legs and upholstered inlay tops. The headboards, bed bases and bedroom stool for bedroom three were all upholstered and stud details added in a geometric pattern by our team. Curved side tables and a dressing table by our joinery team complete the look.
