Origins Design has been accepted as an Industry Partner by the British Institute of Interior Design (BIID). As we work extensively with interior designers and design studios on their interior design projects across London, Surrey, the UK and Europe, we are delighted that we have been accepted. The British Institute of Interior Design celebrates its 60th anniversary this year and is the only professional institute for interior designers in the UK.

As a supplier to the interior design industry, our goal is to support interior designers with their projects and help them achieve their visions for the spaces they are creating for their clients. We are always working towards a common goal of creating spaces that work for the people that will use them.

We crafted and upholstered this pale pink modular sofa to BIID designer member, Chantel Elshout‘s design. Chantel won a BIID award in 2024 for this extensive Dutch Barn conversion project in the English countryside.

At Origins Design, we act as a “one-stop-shop” for interior designers and design firms by providing a full service from design, manufacture and installation. With over 20 years of experience in designing, manufacturing and crafting bespoke furniture for design studios and interior designers, we have become well-known for the quality of our work, and ability to deal with challenging projects and timescales.

Encouraged by our many BIID designer member clients to join as an Industry Partner, we felt the 60th anniversary year was a prestigious moment to join. Now that Origins Design has been accepted, we are looking forward to working with and networking further with the professional interior designer members of the British Institute of Interior Design through our newly fledged Industry Partner membership. Later in the year, we are planning to create and launch a series of CPD courses to further support the designer members of the BIID by sharing our extensive knowledge, experience and insights into specifying and crafting bespoke furniture.
